Eastern European Mutt offers competitive rates with no hourly minimum. It’s ok to start small.

Before beginning a project, a research agreement will be sent for your approval. The agreement will set out the objectives of the research, the number of hours authorized, terms of payment, and the format and timeframe for reporting. Information will be collected from you to avoid duplication of work you or others might have done, and I’ll check in with you periodically during the project to ask clarifying questions. Permission for incidental charges will be requested in advance (fees for accessing textual records in an archive or vital records request, for example).
